Orcas Bakery is a member-owned cooperative bakery on North Beach Road in Eastsound, in the heart of Orcas Island. Every loaf is slow-fermented sourdough, made with Pacific Northwest flours from Cairnspring Mills, Fairhaven, and Bluebird Farm.
The counter carries hearth breads, pastries, and coffee. The signature hearth bread is an 800 gram sourdough batard. Breads and baked goods can also be ordered ahead through the online store at orcasbakery.com.
The bakery is open every day from 8 am to 3 pm. As a Washington State registered cooperative, Orcas Bakery offers co-op memberships to islanders who want a stake in their local bakery.
